Congratulations to Ricky! We are so proud of him. He is advancing his international oil and gas career tremendously! In August 2010, a position in ConocoPhillips' Australia division opened up. After a lot of thought and discussion, we decided he should apply. And of course, they wanted him! Who wouldn't! He landed the job within one week.
His expat assignment began in October 2010. I left my advertising position in Houston at the end of September to get our home and puppies ready to move. We spent several days in October visiting family and friends before we left. We enjoyed a little bit of fall weather in Dallas, Tulsa and Denver before making our journey across the world. And major season change to spring.... !
So to all of our family and friends, thank you for your support, love and encouragement! We will miss seeing you every day but will keep in constant contact and come visit as much as possible! I'm hoping this blog will help keep everyone up-to-date on our Aussie adventures!
