Training

I've been busy training this month! From personal training at the gym, training myself how to cook, training my dogs, I'm constantly on the go!

Training Fred and Gus how to walk on a lead

I use rosemary in cooking a lot! We have a dozen plants in our yard.

I hate olives, but I could cook with them. This pic is of an olive tree in our back yard.

Dog Beach

About once a month we take the boys to one of the many dog beaches in Perth. We would go every week or day if they didn't get the dreadful ear infections. Gussy is our big swimmer. Ricky and Gus play catch constantly while we're there. It tires them both out I must say! A big nap is in order for the two of them afterwards. No matter how rough the surf is, Gus is in the water.

Fred, on the hand, is quite the weeny (like me). He won't get in the ocean. Afraid of the dang waves (or sharks?). So he socializes with all of the other dogs and sits on the sand with me.

It's pretty funny how Gus is just like Ricky and will spend his whole day at the beach riding the waves. And Fred is just like me, sunbather and socialite. :) Did I mention these are dogs not kids? haha

G'day! Hope you had a great Feb and now March, as it's over next week!

Ricky and I shared the month of love with people dearest to our hearts! Kim (Ricky's mom), Mark (Kim's partner) and Linda (Kim's cousin) came to visit us in Perth the last week of February. We had a wonderful time showing them around the town.  Sad to see them go, but happy to share our home (a.k.a "Marriott Maureen") with them. We spent the week doing as the Western Australians do ... walks through the parks, walks along the river, riding the train throughout the town, drinking delicious local beer (Little Creatures, James Squire), lazin around the beach, biking across Rottnest Island!

Here are some fun party pics from our adventures.

Kim and Ricky on the scoot. They went on a mission for ice cream one hot summer evening!

Kimmy and I after a big walk.

We ride the train around town, especially after a couple of beers! There's a station walking distance from our house.

Ricky and me in Fremantle. Acting Up as usual. Don't we look like the statue?

The BEST way to spend a sunny Perth afternoon: Pints & Chips at Little Creatures Brewery

Aussies love Indian food just like the Brits do! We enjoyed some Naan & Tikka Masala one night.

Our airplane ride to Rottnest Island was a quick 12 minute ride. We saw the best views of Perth by air!

After biking and sun all day long, we deserved an ice cold pint. Look at Mark's face (OVERHEATED!) haha
